  • Alex Moncayo

Many people struggle to connect but for Alex, connectivity comes easy through expression in art. Paintbrush or pencil, Alex is able to bring his thoughts to life and through doing so has recognized the importance in embracing creative expression. Being a late bloomer, Alex's passion for the arts did not come into full effect until his time studying at Nassau Community College, where one art class was enough to seal the deal. Now working as a student aid in the Nassau Community Art Department he is able to fully submerge himself into his preferred environment. As coordinator of the Art Club, Alex finds satisfaction in encouraging students to embrace their passion and get involved on campus. He wishes to bring that same passion and support to Muse in order to get people out of their shells and onto the canvas.

  • Amanda Leigh

At the ripe old age of just-born, Amanda decided she would spend the rest of her existence procrastinating important duties by doodling. Little did she know that this would be the best bad decision of her life! Amanda's avoidance of schoolwork and sleep allowed her to accumulate countless hours of practice that would come to form a pretty dang cool portfolio. While ignoring her high-school teachers, she obsessed over faces, hands, and feet which aged into her specialty - portraits. While Amanda did not choose a traditional future for herself, she can proudly say that she is a partner and owner of a digital marketing company, a seasoned painting instructor, and is regularly commissioned for portraits across a broad range of media.

  • Eddie Pons

As a young boy, Eddie's first love was... Art. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and surrounded by urban art on every street corner fueled his passion for the craft. Doodling on paper as a kid at his kitchen table evolved into sketching and painting his own wearable art as a teenager. As an adult, Eddie has worked in the hustle and bustle of Corporate America but Art has always been his heart and soul. He's created logos and artwork for company websites and their social media. During the day, he's an Art Instructor at an after-school program in an Elementary school and shares his love of art with young children. Not much has changed with the Brooklyn native, who now lives in Queens with his wife and son. He's still a young boy at heART and still doodles on paper at his kitchen table....but with his son. Eddie explains that "Art is freedom, there is no right or wrong. Just have fun with it!"
