  • Ashley Rek

Ashley has always appreciated and loved art since she could remember. Coloring books and crayons were her forte until she got older and started to truly appreciate the art of creating. At the age of twelve she started to take art lessons with a local artist of Oxford, Connecticut, and continued these lessons all throughout high school and even during her months off from college. She attended Salve Regina University in Newport Rhode Island, graduating in 2015 with a Bachelor's in Studio Art and a minor in Spanish. Though starting off using only pastels, during her years in college she was introduced to the world of oil painting and there was no turning back. While at school, Ashley found that she was inspired most by animals and the natural world, creating a senior thesis based solely on these muses. After graduating she began to experiment with acrylics and learned how to have fun with color as much as possible, considering blues, reds, yellows, and burnt sienna were the only colors allowed throughout her four years of college. Ashley has a true love for painting, nature, pop culture, and movies, especially animated ones. (She even spent a few months down in Orlando working for Mickey Mouse himself.) Through Muse Paintbar she hopes to bring the joy and relaxation she feels while she paints to those who come ready to create and have fun!

  • Natalie Wright

Natalie has had an affinity for art for as long as she can remember. In school she was constantly doodling in her notebook, drawing (ha) inspiration from nature and fantasy art. She took AP art in high school, eventually scoring a 5 on the AP exam. She then went on to pursue foreign language and marketing at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. After working as a translator and teaching Spanish for 2 years, Natalie realized that her true passion was always going to be art. She is incredibly grateful and excited to have been given the opportunity to work at Muse so she may finally begin to find her place in the art world. Eventually her dream is to become a concept artist. Natalie enjoys spreading her positivity to others and recognizing and encouraging everyone's unique strengths. In her free time you can find her cooking, hula hooping, adventuring with friends, and caring for animals of all kinds.

  • Molly Getchell

Art and creativity have been the backdrop of Molly's life and have taken her down many interesting paths, including the one that brought her to Muse Paint Bar! She was homeschooled as a teenager and studied art at Manchester Community College for a number of years before transferring to UConn. Though her studies later took her in a different direction professionally, Molly has continued to create and be creative in her spare time and with others in her community in all the years since. While working with children at a local Non-Profit, she has had the opportunity to share that creativity and the therapeutic aspects of painting with others, and sees Muse as another opportunity to bring people together in a creative environment. I believe in the importance of creating things, getting our hands dirty and connecting with others while discovering our own talents and skills. Everyone has the ability to make something new and amazing, and at Muse I have the opportunity to help people do just that!

  • Natalie Bernard

Ever since she was a child, Natalie was drawn to visual art. Gaining inspiration from the fantastical worlds of film, books, and games, she spent most of her childhood sketching from her imagination. This paired with her love for helping others inspired her to pursue art in hopes of one day becoming a teacher. While obtaining her BFA at the Hartford Art School, she also fell in love with freelance illustration as a career. Currently, Natalie sees herself as having the best of both worlds! When she's not encouraging others to unleash their creativity at Muse, she's freelancing as an illustrator for board and card games.
