Parking & Directions

Take Exit 4 from I-295. Muse Portland is located on Portland Harbor across the street from Merrill‘s Wharf. The most convenient parking is on Commercial Street right in front of our studio (typically, more spaces are free west of our studio). Please keep in mind that most of these require the meter be paid until after 6 PM. There are oftentimes spots available on nearby cross streets, too. If you‘re in a bind, there is also a public garage a few minutes away at Fore St and Exchange St.

Being a young artist, Raquel is open to exploration in her choice of medium, as well as content, embracing mistakes along the way, turning imperfections into beauty. Along with her paintings and drawings, you can find her taking instant photos with her vintage Polaroid cameras or her Fuji Instax. She has hundreds of them...

  • Skylar Bounds

Always marching to the beat of their own drummer, Skylar found their love for art at the age of 8 and has been practicing ever since. From being recognized for their artistic prowess in high school, where one of their works is proudly displayed in the Board of Education confrence room, they went on to study art at Alfred University. Their experiences have made them a firm believer that art is less about innate talent and more about practice. Their fondness for philosophy, anthropology, sociology, and art history drew them to the conclusion that in order for art to be sustainable, the practice of art has to be as accessible as possible. In addition to the acrylic medium used at Muse, they also do watercolor and oil painting, wood burning, drawing, ceramics, and occasionally glass blowing. When Skylar's not making art, they are usually either singing and playing guitar or hiking to find some waterfalls.
