Matt Cullen
Some people collect stamps, some people play music, some grow a flower or two in a garden. Matt paints...Matt paints a lot. Born and raised Virginia artist, Matt has thrived in art schooling and practice. With a degree in painting and printmaking from VCU and paintbrush in hand, he is ready to take on the world. Puns, messy hands, wine, and endless hilarity are to be expected when in his vicinity. Having worked with kids (and being one himself), he haphazardly throws paint and ink on things and hopes it looks rad. Matt paints surreal super colorful landscapes and prints. Bigger, more color, and more "umph!"? are all moto's of his artistic practice. He strongly believes in getting away from the boring day to day life of: working, commuting, and looking at computer screens. He stresses that people should get out with friends, create awesome memories, and have a ball trying new things!
